AFFIL supports HR 4173 and you can, too!

AFFIL recently signed onto this letter from Americans for Financial Reform, which was then sent to House members in anticipation of the vote on HR 4173, the “Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009.”  The House is set to debate this bill soon, but the big banks are still trying to kill any and all of the useful provisions in the proposed legislation.

If you’d like to help us make sure the bill stays strong and includes a Consumer Financial Protection Agency, please sign our petition.  We’ve written to Congress about the need for reform a lot lately, but our representatives in DC need to hear from us at least one more time before they vote in order to make sure that this bill results in improved consumer protections.
