Sign the Petition to Reform Credit Cards

May 6, 2009

Click here to sign our petition to reform credit card lending. The Senate will vote on S. 414, the Credit CARD Act, next week, and they need to hear from all of us.

If we become one of the most popular petitions on the site, Change.org will email their entire community about credit card reform.  Your one signature could become thousands!

Consumer advocates around the country are gearing up for the Senate vote, and it’s getting a lot of attention.  Two of AFFIL’s Partners were on NPR talking about this issue yesterday.  You can hear the Consumer Federation of America’s Travis Plunkett on On Point, or US PIRG’s Ed Mierzwinski on the Diane Rehm Show.  The image above is the top half of an ad (PDF) developed by the Pew Charitable Trusts, and it’s appearing in newspapers around the country today.
