SEIU wants Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis to be fired

April 28, 2009

Continuing their “Bank of America, Bad for America” campaign, SEIU produced this video about Ken Lewis in collaboration with Brave New Films.

SEIU is leading a protest calling for Ken Lewis to be fired today in Charlotte, where the bank has its headquarters.  At least a few AFFIL members will be in attendance.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Bank of America is the second largest recepient of TARP funds (after Citibank), having recieved about $45 billion.  SEIU is critizing them for opposing the Employee Free Choice Act and consumer protections.  In fact, BofA is among the banks who recently began raising credit card interest rates and fees on good customers, as we blogged about here and here.  To join SEIU’s effort against Ken Lewis, visit http://takebacktheeconomy.org.
