Colbert Takes the "Payday Loan Reform Act" to Task

Last night was a big night on Comedy Central. Not only did consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren appear on the Daily Show, but Stephen Colbert focused on the “Payday Loan Reform Act” in his nightly segment, “The Word.”
As Consumer Law & Policy blog points out, “Colbert’s perspective on the effects of payday lending industry campaign contributions may come as no surprise… But, fair warning: his remarks may leave you with a whole new perspective on pineapples.”
