"Recovery Express" Caravan Heads to Washington

March 10, 2009

Last Friday March 6, California families who are at risk of foreclosure or who have lost their homes boarded the “Recovery Express” headed for Washington, DC.  On the way, they visited eight cities hard hit by the economic crisis where more families joined them.  Today, 300 people arrive in Washington to ask for support of the Obama Administration’s housing plan, including the provision to allow court-supervised loan modifications. Rallies and prayer services in Antioch and the other cities emphasized support for the plan as well.

The caravan is being organized by PICO National Network, a network of faith-based organizations.  You can see updates about the trip here.
