Update on H.R. 1106
HR 1106, the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009, will go back to the House Rules Committee today and may come up for a full vote in the House tomorrow. The bill is likely being modified to ensure support from moderate Democrats, known as “Blue Dogs” and “New Democrats.” (The Rules committee determines under what “rule” a bill will come to the floor of the House for a vote. This Committee also determine the conditions under which a vote will be held.)
HR 1106 is a housing bill which includes a provision to allow court-supervised loan modifications. AFFIL and our Partners strongly support this provision. Click here to call your Representative, or send her or him an email, about the bill.
