The Camden Herald: MBNA credit practices critiqued nationally

Two Camden residents, former employees of credit card company MBNA, have received national attention for their criticism of practices used to get consumers into debt.

Jerry Young and Cate Colombo, both former customer service representatives for MBNA, spoke at a news conference last week in Boston, organized by the organization Americans for Fairness in Lending. The organization is working to promote pending federal legislation that would curb actions that credit card lenders can take against consumers.

Young and Colombo were featured on ABC News and on “Nightline” as well as other national news programs.
